Position Overview

Reports to: UAE LBL Manager & Sales Manager

Work Model: Onsite

Location: UAE - Process Automation

About the Role

You will have the opportunity to implement the service strategy and drive service growth at the respective unit level. You will lead Service and engineering organizations and be responsible for projects' overall engineering, execution, customer satisfaction, first technical point of contact and achievement of performance targets and optimization of Service resources.

Responsibilities

Service Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead Automation and Electrical projects Design, Engineering, Documentation and execution
  • Execute projects, lead team and partners to respond to customer service requests and Service contracts
  • Create and drive implementation of service strategy as a member of the management team
  • Ensure that strategic plans are implemented consistently in the service organization through collaboration with other businesses

Technical Execution

  • Interpret customer specifications, requirements and applications to design/develop/troubleshoot/test/implement appropriate hardware and software solutions for automation/electrical jobs by applying standard design concepts, topologies, protocols, programming tools and libraries
  • Create BOQ and support Supply Chain Management for specifications, procurement and delivery

Performance & Development

  • Drive continuous improvement culture and the implementation of improvements to achieve service excellence and increase profitability in their own area of responsibility
  • Guides, motivate, and develop direct and indirect reports
  • Improve service availability, provide training, and develop capabilities and competencies

Customer & Stakeholder Relations

  • Build sustainable customer relationships to ensure growth, satisfaction, and retention of customers together with sales
  • Support Sales resources in customer meetings

Compliance & Travel

  • Willing to travel and lead site execution in UAE and Middle East region
  • Responsible for Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and all other business compliance standards and regulations in their own area of responsibility
  • Show personal commitment to HSE by conducting sustainability observation tours consistently

Qualifications

  • Excellent ABB Products awareness
  • 7-10 years minimum experience with 800xA with AC800M (required)
  • Experience with ABB Minerals Library BMI & PP Library
  • Long experience in Industrial Automation and electrical upgrades, retrofits, specially in cement, mining and metals
  • Expertise in industry standard protocols such as Modbus, Profibus & OPC
  • English is a must, Arabic Language is an add-on
