This position reports to: Service Operations Manager

This role is contributing to the Motion Service Division in Vittuone (Milan).

Work model: Hybrid

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will support and optimize the Production organization's mechanical processes, assembly methods, and equipment, ensuring alignment with business goals related to productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. You will work daily with MV production lines, mechanical workshop teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure optimal cycle times, tooling, and process performance.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Designing mechanical parts and components using CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor)
  • Performing mechanical calculations and, when required, supporting Finite Element Modelling (FEM) analysis as a plus
  • Supporting and optimizing mechanical activities on MV lines, including stamping, punching, and packaging processes
  • Issuing and updating work cycles, production documentation, and technical instructions
  • Defining and validating tooling and equipment required in the workshop for refurbishment of older machines
  • Evaluating new mechanical process technologies to improve quality, productivity, and cost
  • Providing technical support during process and equipment start‑ups, including training for maintenance and production teams
  • Leading or participating in continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and problem‑solving methodologies
  • Collaborating effectively with other functions (Quality, Production, R&D, Maintenance), ensuring open communication and a constructive, proactive attitude

Qualifications for the Role

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design and calculation, including experience with:
  • AutoCAD, Inventor
    • FEM analysis (considered a strong plus)
  • Experience in production engineering, preferably in mechanical or electromechanical industrial environments
  • Experience with workshop activities, tooling definition, and mechanical repair processes
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies (considered a plus)
  • Familiarity with SAP as an additional asset
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
  • Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively in a structured industrial environment
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)
