About the Role
Reports to: Senior Engineering Manager
Work Model: Onsite
Location: Xiamen, China
Business Unit: EL-ELDS-DSGCIP: Indoor Products (IDP)
Main Stakeholders: ELDS
In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic direction, leadership, management, and coordination of the Engineering function within a local division / product group. Each day, you will initiate, coordinate, drive, and oversee team development and continual improvement of processes and procedures to strengthen the engineering and design capability. You will also showcase your expertise by driving the team's performance to ensure assigned engineering operations are executed successfully.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Contribution & Digital Leadership
- Lead digital project development and implementation
- Drive digital transformation initiatives
- Lead technical excellence in engineering processes
Design-to-Order (DTO) and Product Standardization
- Manage and implement DTO projects management and implementation
- Optimize DTO workflows to improve profit margins
- Balance customization requirements with standardization for optimal efficiency
- Develop modular design approaches to enhance flexibility
Customer and Sales Support
- Actively support sales teams to secure customized orders
- Focus on premium market segments with tailored technical solutions
- Present and demonstrate customization capabilities
- Provide technical support export LCA (License Cooperation Agreement)
Processes and Cost Reduction
- Implement digital tools to enhance engineering effectiveness
- Reduce costs through standardization while capturing premium pricing
- Support SAP/configurator process
- Provide support for NPP related activities
- Support Manufacturing Unit smart manufacturing strategy implementation
People Leadership and Development
- Lead talent development and organizational effectiveness through strategic staffing, coaching, and employee growth initiatives
- Coach and mentor team members to achieve their full potential
- Drive employee growth initiatives and succession planning
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Proven experience in Medium Voltage Circuit Breaker industry or related fields
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent cross-functional/cross-departmental coordination skills
- Demonstrated project management expertise
- Proficiency in digital tools and engineering software
- Strong leadership capability with ability to motivate and develop people
- Effective conflict management skills
- Results-oriented with strong sense of accountability
- Strategic thinking and business acumen
- Fluent in English written and verbal
