ABB Marine & Ports accompanies maritime sector actors in modernizing, improving performance and decarbonizing their installations, leveraging a portfolio of high value-added technological solutions and services.

Position Overview

Reports to: Sales Manager

Location: L'Estaque (near Aix-en-Provence and Marseille)

Sector: Atlantic coast and North Sea

Division: Automation, Marine & Ports Business

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain a strategic portfolio of shipowners and shipyards, ensuring regular follow-up, identifying technical needs and guaranteeing satisfaction across all ABB solutions
  • Prospect new opportunities on the Marine & Ports market by detecting emerging projects, opening new accounts and structuring a proactive commercial approach to extend ABB's presence in new segments
  • Build sustainable, high value-added customer relationships by understanding each client's operational, technical and economic challenges to propose tailored solutions (electrification, automation)
  • Negotiate and secure complex commercial contracts by managing pricing, margin, timelines, warranties and compliance aspects, in coordination with internal teams (Legal, Finance, Pricing)
  • Define medium-term commercial strategy, including structured account plans, pipeline management in Salesforce, performance reporting and contribution to annual objectives

Qualifications

  • Education: Bac+5 (engineering or business school) with solid understanding of technical issues related to the maritime or industrial sector
  • Experience: Confirmed experience (≥ 5 years) in B2B sales, including large account management, contract negotiation, value-based selling and management of long and complex sales cycles
  • Technical Skills: Mastery of technical environments: maritime equipment, electrification, ship or port infrastructure automation and advanced Salesforce use
  • Professional Aptitudes: Proven interpersonal and commercial skills: ability to build trust, customer service orientation, rigor, autonomy, organization and cross-functional collaboration spirit
  • Language & Travel: Fluent English and regular travel (clients, shipyards, professional trade shows)
