About the Role

This position reports to the Operations Manager and contributes to the Motion Traction Division in North America. In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets
• Identify and recommend improvement opportunities and implement improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements
• Provide support to Production during internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources
• Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 4+ years of experience working in a manufacturing/production environment
• Project management experience
• Experience with CAD design and CAD tools
• Experience with PTC Windchill PLM (or any other similar PLM system)
• Strong communication skills
• Fluent English speaking and good in writing
• Must already have a work authorization that would permit you to work for ABB in the US
