Your Role and Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to lead financial processes and transactions to optimize financial performance within the factory/site. Each day, you will support effective business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending the most appropriate business solutions.

• Work model:

This role is contributing to the Ring motors factory in Bilbao in Spain. Main stakeholders are the Factory Management and Business Line Mining & Materials Management Team

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Strategy: Contributes to the definition of strategy for the factory and serves as the key partner for the factory manager in determining strategy for area of responsibility and developing a global business model, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and making adjustments in implementation as needed.
• Business performance: Monitors’ progress achieved and provides insight and analysis to support operational decision-making. Identifies issues and advises management on action plans and operational strategies to resolve. Drives appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Manages and closely monitors the cash flow and takes action to improve Net Working Capital. Special focus areas: project gross margin and overall profitability, all project and non-project related costing, over/under-absorption analysis/inventory analysis, etc.
• Risk management: Assesses business risk exposure and defines risk mitigation strategies to reduce impact on business performance and ensures risk management processes are consistently implemented. Identifies and communicates commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.
• Optimization: Leads cross-functional initiatives that support strategic goals. Drives definition and implementation of global standards and business specific guidelines to ensure continuous improvement in the financial control process within own area of responsibility.
• People leadership and development: Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates and develops direct/indirect subordinates within HR policies.

Qualifications for the Role

• You are highly skilled in Finances overall and you look forward to working in a manufacturing environment and have a good understanding of IFRS and Spanish GAAP with strong technical accounting and business judgement skills.
• Minimum of +8years of experience in Finance & Contolling with broad business management knowledge in an international company and studied Business administration or Finance
• Strong capabilities in risk management, problem solving and change management with a proven ability to implement effective internal controls
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Spanish
• Good knowledge of SAP preferred
