Your Role and Responsibilities In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

We are looking for a senior mechanical engineer to work on the mechanical design of converter and control cabinets for of our power electronics products. You will become part of the team responsible for the mechanical design, structural design (FEM) and thermal design of power converters.

Mechancal design activities related to power converters and control cabinets for the Renewable Power Busines Line R&D.

• Negotiating product requirements in English to standardize and optimize.

• Developing conceptual and detailed product designs according to established requirements.

• Creating and modifying technical specifications and bills of materials.

• Designing and modifying 3D CAD parts, including sheet metal and assemblies.

• Performing thermal design (air, liquid, hybrid), structural calculations, and CFD análisis.

• Importing and submitting PDF drawings for review in PLM.

• Participating in technical meetings and inspecting prototypes.

• Providing support to suppliers and factories.

• Traveling as needed to other company sites, suppliers, and customers.

Qualifications for the Role

• Bachelor degree Master´s degree or Doctoral Studies in Mechancial Engineerimg

• More than 5 years of experience in mechanical design of power electronics products for power rating higher than hundreds of kW.

• Expert in CAD (CREO, Catia v5, NX, Ansys) and PLM (Windchill, Teamcenter).

• Deep knowledge in metallic materials, manufacturing technologies (cold stamping, sheet metal forming, welding, etc.), fasteners, surface treatments, and coatings.

• Skilled in corrosion protection, technical drawing, and production systems.

• Experienced in tolerance analysis, cost reduction, and structural/thermal simulations (FEM, CFD).

• Strong spatial awareness, creativity, and goal-oriented with a focus on client and cost efficiency.

• Advanced English proficiency (B2-C1).
