Your role and responsibilities

As Lead Engineer for e Houses you coordinate e House related engineering activities for both tendering and project execution.

In this role, you will oversee the engineering of e House projects, delivering high-quality, cost-effective and timely solutions to customers, in line with the contract, safety and quality requirements while maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing service at all stages of the project.

You will coordinate engineering activities and technical clarifications performed by engineering experts from different disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, structural and cooling engineering, by e House fabricators and by suppliers of equipment to be installed into an e House.

The work model for the role is: onsite

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Responsible for the engineering of e House projects, ensuring high customer satisfaction, that all targets including schedule and deadlines are met, and that relevant guidelines are followed
• Understand customer requirements, application specific needs, as well as global and local standards and regulations, and ensure the relevant information is provided to all stakeholders
• Solid technical knowledge of MV/LV, Transformers, UPS, DC, HVAC, Fire & Gas systems; experience in prefabricated solutions and complex integrated substation packages including design and commissioning stages
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparing and revising 2D/3D technical drawings; ability to develop concept structural designs for e House and support tendering with conceptual design solutions
• Ability to perform EPLAN-based drawing revisions, updates, and creation of new project schematics
• Experience in power system calculations using tools such as ETAP/SKM, including short circuit analysis, selectivity, relay coordination, cable sizing, and cable schedule preparation
• Experience in managing technical documentation processes including preparation, revision control, compliance tracking, and specification review for both project execution and tendering phases
• Ability to provide alternative and optimize solutions according to customer requirements
• Capability to provide technical commentary and evaluate ABB products, systems, and architectures, integrating ABB-specific advantages into engineering deliverables and design decisions
• Coordinate continuous improvement of e House engineering processes, planning and competencies, ensure best practices are used in e House projects and develop e House engineering skills and knowledge in your own organization as well as with partners, e House fabricators and equipment suppliers
• Support the sales team in the generation of offers, strategies and concepts

Qualifications for the role

• 10 years of experience in e House engineering, lead engineering, or engineering management, for electrification projects
• Demonstrated experience in managing engineering activities, vendors/subcontractors as well as engineering processes
• A focus on safe work practices and following workplace safety guidelines
• A high level of self-motivation and curiosity, and a willingness to learn about new technologies
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and well-developed communication, coaching skills
• A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar field
• Good command of English and Turkish knowledge
