About the Role

This Position reports to: Trade & Transportation Manager

This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India. The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for local import/export operations. Each day, you will supervise performance of customs brokers. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring smooth execution of operational trade and customs activities within a local unit, including relevant documentation and compliance with regulations. In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage international and domestic logistics operations including Air, Ocean, Domestic shipments, ensuring compliance and timely execution
  • Coordinate with transporters, and internal teams for cargo pickup, documentation, pick up, and delivery
  • Oversee shipment tracking, milestone updates, POD management, and in-transit issue resolution across internal platforms
  • Expertise in domestic freight rate negotiations, contracts, Carrier invoice verification, approvals, claims, and performance reviews to optimize cost and service
  • Maintain accurate logistics data, support audits, prepare reports (DSR/MSR/WSR), and drive continuous improvements aligned with business needs

Qualifications

  • Immersed in Logistics operations in switchgear/electrical industry
  • 14 to 18 years of experience in managing end to end domestic logistics and ensuring compliance with global trade regulations and local customs requirements
  • Experience in negotiating freight and transportation rates
  • Coordinating with freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers
  • Experience in shipment tracking, milestone updates, POD management, and in-transit issue resolution across internal platforms
  • International import and export operations experience (added advantage)
  • Basic knowledge of SAP - HANA, Inco Terms (International Commercial Terms) and MS Office Package
  • Bachelor's in B.Com or Masters in M.Com / MBA (full-time)
  • Comfortable communicating in English
