About the Role

We are seeking 5 motivated and curious summer interns to support our team during the summer. In this role, you'll gain practical experience in a professional environment and have the opportunity to work closely with experienced colleagues. This position is ideal for students at the beginning of their careers who are willing to learn, take responsibility, and contribute to daily operations.

We are looking for interns within Procurement & Material Planning.

In this role, you will be a key person in ensuring high delivery reliability from our suppliers and efficient and correct material availability for our production.

This position reports to: Order Handling Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Handle purchase orders and requisitions in SAP
• Monitor delivery schedules, address delivery disruptions, and follow up on open purchase orders
• Manage order confirmations, lead times, and delivery reliability
• Collaborate with production planning, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure material availability
• Communicate with suppliers to ensure delivery performance and resolve operational issues
• Monitor supplier KPIs (OTD, quality, response) and escalate deviations when necessary
• Maintain correct purchase and material master data
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment

In this role, you will gain insight into how the procurement process works in practice at a large manufacturing company that produces based on a make-to-order concept.

Expectations

You are expected to be prepared to work most of the summer, as you will act as a replacement for regular staff during their vacation.

Your Background

• You are studying at university/college in an appropriate economics or engineering field
• Proficient in Office 365, with a focus on Excel
• Advantageous if you have previous experience with business systems such as SAP
• Structured and responsible
• Comfortable communicating in spoken and written English
