Position Overview

Reports to: Service Manager

Work model: Onsite

Location: Bangalore/Faridabad, India

Business Unit: Robot & Discrete Automation

Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will ensure successful implementation of the service System sales strategy for India region, to profitably achieve qualitative and quantitative targets for life cycle management, service system products and solutions.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Creating, planning, and implementing service sales strategies by increasing the Installed Base (IB) penetration through effective utilization of IB database
  • Participating in negotiations of major contracts to secure service sales volume
  • Ensuring the setting, periodic-review, and achievement of service sales targets by providing cost effective solutions to the customers and initiating improvement plans as needed
  • Obtaining feedback on sales development, distributing of resources for service sales activities, and reporting current market status
  • Analyzing service market potential, with full focus on installed base (IB) penetration and ensuring customer relationship management
  • Leading and developing the Service System Sales team to exceed the sales targets through high performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction & Business results

Qualifications

  • BE/B. Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering with 20+ years of overall experience
  • 15+ years of sales experience, including handling business volumes exceeding USD 6 million and managing wide geographies (preferably country-level)
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in Robotics Customer Service Sales, with exposure to field service in robot operation and maintenance preferred
  • Strong techno-commercial expertise with proven skills in contract management, sales management, upgrades, replacements, and project management (end-to-end handling from proposals to collections)
  • In-depth knowledge of robots and robotic applications, PLC systems, logics, communications, field buses, and peripheral equipment; working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to new technologies, and manage extensive travel requirements
  • Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills; assertive yet collaborative leadership style
  • Proficiency in SAP and SFDC tools for business and customer management
