This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the unit in achieving the set production targets by adhering to the systems and processes. Each day, you will use machinery and equipment on the shop floor. You will also showcase your expertise by reading and interpreting the technical diagrams/instructions for assembly of products/systems/panels.
The work model for the role is: onsite
This role is contributing to the production of emergency lighting products, in ABB Electrification Canada.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assembly and Production
· Assembles AC, DC, and EMEX electrical modules and systems according to drawings and specifications
· Assembles chassis for AC systems
· Performs electrical wiring in accordance with schematics and standards
· Maintains production pace according to the established schedule
· Ensures the quality and precision of the assembly
Documentation and Procedures
· Interprets Shop Packs (purchase orders, parts lists, and quantity lists)
· Completes inter-warehouse transfer forms
· Fills out warehouse parts requisition forms
· Uses the AS 400 system independently (menus 8100, 8200, 7250, 5100)
· Reads and interprets electrical schematic diagrams
Quality and Safety
· Validates components prior to assembly
· Ensures correct orientation and polarity of electronic components
· Applies task-related quality procedures
· Knows and applies safety instructions, rules, and standards
· Ensures safety for oneself and other users
Training and Continuous Improvement
· Trains new employees on assembly tasks
· Supports employees in training until they are fully independent
· Provides suggestions for continuous improvement
· Participates in process improvement initiatives
Qualifications for the role
· High school diploma – Required.
· DEP or AEP in electronics – an asset.
· Knowledge of electricity and wiring – Required.
· Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical or electronic assembly.
· Experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to read and understand technical documents.
· Knowledge of electronic components (orientation, polarity).
· Ability to use assembly tools and equipment.
· Manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Attention to detail and quality.
· Ability to lift loads up to 50 lbs (occasionally).
· Prolonged standing.
· Repetitive hand and arm movements.
