Key responsibilities

As a Sales Specialist / Engineer, you are responsible for the sale of frequency converters and motors in a highly technological environment and are the crucial link to our customers. You contribute to success together with the sales team, coordinate and plan complex solutions and sales strategies, and develop measures to acquire customers for your sales territory.

Sales territory: Lower Saxony (Hannover), Magdeburg, Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

The working time model for this position is: Remote,

You are mainly responsible for:

  • Acquiring customers as well as maintaining and securing the customer base

  • Customer-oriented and competent presentation of selected products and solutions from the Drives & Motors business unit

  • Implementing the requirements in the OEM customer segment into corresponding solutions by analyzing specifications and tenders

  • Preparing and following up on offers (supported by the technical internal service) up to the awarding of contracts

  • Continuous market observation and participation in the development of new sales strategies

  • Participation in trade fairs and customer events as well as supporting our marketing activities

  • Budget responsibility with regular result analysis of all activities in self-responsibility

Qualifications for the role

  • Successfully completed studies, preferably with a focus on electrical engineering or a comparable field; alternatively, completed technician/master qualification

  • Several years of professional experience, ideally in OEM sales and in the field of drive technology

  • Application experience and application knowledge for the use of frequency converters and electric motors are highly advantageous

  • Knowledge in control technology is a plus

  • High customer and market orientation, strong closing and assertiveness skills, as well as persuasiveness, negotiation skills, service orientation, and self-management

  • Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

  • Openness to new media and technologies

  • High willingness to travel within the sales territory is required
