About the Role
This position reports to the Quality Specialist and is located in Mebane, North Carolina.
As a Manufacturing Quality-Tester, you will be responsible for verifying quality of the work is being completed in functions such as incoming inspection, fabrication, assembly and/or wiring.
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Performing physical pre-testing activities for newly developed products to ensure product quality and validating manufacturing processes
- Assisting the team in performing all required checks as part of the Factory Acceptance Testing process
- Inspecting and troubleshooting any identified issues, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
- Maintaining accurate testing records, data, and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and quality management systems
Qualifications
- Associate degree in a technical or engineering discipline from an accredited university or college (Degree has a focus in electronics or electrical systems OR 2 years experience with electrical/electronic testing)
- Experience using computers Microsoft office apps like excel, word and web applications
- Desired experience in ERPs and quality management systems
- Ability and willingness to read and interpret technical drawings and models
- Skilled in using hand tools and measurement equipment
- Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
