PLM Solution Architect –Windchill

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, As a Windchill Solution Architect and part of the Engineering Applications (PLM) team, you will be responsible for collaborating with ABB stakeholders for process implementation and optimization to meet ABB Business Use Case requirements. You will be responsible for roll-in projects and activities using PTC Windchill PLM. You will be expected to execute following activities.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the ELDS Business Function

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Provide solutions to the business user problems and processes in the space of Windchill.

• Responsible for process change management involving process redesign and business case development.

• Support Process and Application harmonization under alignment with the business’s targets.

• Support of international roll-in at several ABB locations. Roll-out support means:

• Execution of workshops for project presentation

• Execution of workshops for requirements gathering

• Data (including CAD) Analysis and Migration

• Execution of System Integration Tests, User Acceptance tests, Key and End Users Training and post go live mentoring.

• Process Mapping and harmonization of methods to reduce system complexity.

• Presentation of change requests to ABB Change Board members; for this, the request must be appropriately qualified, and a "Technical Specification Document" must then be created.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

• Successfully completed studies in the fields of computer science, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or related field.
• Possess extensive expertise in the areas of PLM, PDM, CAD, Project Management, and associated activities.
• Many years of experience in the field of PLM and profound knowledge of Windchill PLM, Creo and Solid Works
• 8 to 12 years of experience in the implementation of Windchill methods and systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills paired with quick comprehension.
• Teamwork, Adaptability, Analytical Thinking, Client Focus, Business Processes understanding.
