Reports to: Manufacturing Unit Manager

Work model: Onsite, Pinetops, NC

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead Supply Planning, Inventory Management, Order Handling, and Resource Management in the local business unit. You will drive planning initiatives to improve customer on time delivery and lead-time, be accountable for inventory and supply plan adherence, and be responsible for reporting resource utilization. In addition, you will lead local order handling and customer excellence team in managing front-end priorities and communication.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Production & Capacity Planning including Master Production Schedules (MPS); plant capacity and resource availability; work orders and bottlenecks; run strategies, changeovers, and shift schedules
  • Demand & Supply Coordination including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP); alignment with procurement and suppliers; Managing planning parameters
  • WIP & finished goods inventory; overseeing Order Fulfillment, Customer Delivery & Customer Service
  • Implement Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and lead time
  • Cross-Functional Leadership and collaboration with Production, Quality, Procurement, Engineering, Logistics, and Sales
  • Risk management

Qualifications for the Role

  • Bachelor degree in engineering, business, or manufacturing-related field PLUS minimum 10 years experience manufacturing planning and fulfillment working with flow products and systems
  • Experience must include minimum 5 years of managerial experience as P&F Manager in a high paced manufacturing company with a multiple customer facing base (internal and external)
  • Sound knowledge of planning ERP systems, demand planning, and lean manufacturing
  • Proven experience in SAP, capacity planning, and business analytics tools
  • Proven ability to review, assess and implement changes in diverse Master Planning, Production Control, Customer Service activities
  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing communication, stakeholder management and ability to handle customer delivery/quality/service discussions
  • Fluent, confident English language skills
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
