Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the Maintenance team. Each day, you will conduct activities according to agreed maintenance guidelines and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by increasing the overall efficiency of the equipment and production line.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the ABB-PMA-in Uster**.**
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Planning and carrying out cost-effective, sustainable, and proactive maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems, machinery, tools, and equipment

• Point of contact for technical inquiries (internal and external)

• Analyze electrical and mechanical issues in collaboration with the relevant departments, and determine and implement appropriate measures to resolve the problem

• Coordinate repairs, new purchases, and contractor work on equipment, machinery, and infrastructure, including documentation

• Regular inspection rounds and acceptance testing of third-party suppliers using appropriate checklists

• Technical acceptance testing and commissioning of systems, including orientation and training of employees

Qualifications for the role

• Completed basic vocational training (EFZ) in electrical engineering and/or mechanics, with several years of experience and further training as an electrician, ideally in a manufacturing facility

• Basic knowledge of relevant software (SAP)

• Experience in proactive maintenance, experience in implementing continuous improvement processes

• Communicative and helpful personality

• Ability to work independently and responsibly

• Flexible and a team player with a hands-on attitude

• Basic knowledge of English
