Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to provide strategic legal counsel and uphold the highest standards of integrity within ABB. Each day, you will ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards. You will also showcase your expertise by effectively managing legal risks and fostering a culture of integrity across the organization.

• Reviewing and negotiating contracts, drafting commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with relevant business stakeholders and team members, and overseeing contract management
• Monitoring legal affairs, including but not limited to litigations and activity reports and occupying a seat at the table on local strategic business matters
• Ensuring good corporate governance (including structuring, drafting, and negotiation) in your area of accountability within the country, with respect to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) / divestiture transactions
• Supporting in anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and developing appropriate strategies to address them

Qualifications for the Role

• Relevant experience in contract law and commercial agreements with demonstrated expertise in managing complex negotiations and legal documentation
• Multiple years of experience in corporate legal counsel, legal risk management, or similar legal advisory roles within a multinational organization
• Advanced proficiency in corporate governance, M&A transactions, litigation management, and regulatory compliance
• Strong passion for integrity, ethical standards, and fostering a culture of compliance across organizational boundaries
• Degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification with relevant certifications or specialized legal training
• Fluency in required language skills applicable to the role location
• Current licenses and work permit valid in the job location (where required)
