This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead

Responsibilities

We are looking for motivated and curious summer workers to support our team during the summer period. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in a professional environment and work closely with experienced colleagues. The positions are well suited for you as a student at the beginning of your career who is eager to learn, take responsibility, and contribute to daily operations.

There are multiple positions available, the main responsibilities are to assist and contribute to ongoing research projects like:

• Explore Physics-Informed Reinforcement Learning and compare with model-free approaches
• Explore a hydrogen process simulator with different control methods e.g. Reinforcement Learning
• Explore indoor farming and smart operation of e.g. water and fertilizer
• Setup and perform control experiments on a Ball & Beam system

Your Background

• Ongoing MSc (year 2 or 3) in Electrical, Energy, Industrial, Chemical engineering or similar
• Background in automatic control, modeling or simulation of dynamical systems is recommended
• Interest in optimization and machine learning methods is optional
• Interest in energy systems or process control is valuable
• Knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink or Python is recommended
