Position Details

Reports to: Sales Director

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Kolkata, India

About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support proactive business development aligned with the division's strategy in countries where business conditions require increased attention and focus. Each day, you will provide business support, including expertise in products, applications, solutions, and segment and customer (group) support for the assigned product portfolio, ensuring sustainable deployment of the division's strategic plan. You will also showcase your expertise by facilitating activities to drive profitable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the process of defining marketing and sales targets and establishing appropriate metrics and measurement tools to effectively monitor performance in the region in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure profitable business growth focused on orders, revenues, margins, market shares, and customer satisfaction, as well as the implementation of particular product, application, and segment initiatives in close collaboration with division stakeholders
  • Implement activities for agreed cross-divisional, product group, and regional initiatives
  • Assist in continuous improvement of Net Promoter Score (NPS) by executing customer satisfaction surveys, analyzing results, and executing corrective actions as necessary
  • Create, plan and implement the sales strategy for Food & Beverage / HVAC and Water & Waste Water segments in accordance with global and local division strategy, and budget and efficiency targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships at senior levels with key customers, consultants, stakeholders and other decision makers
  • Ensure effective marketing communications, in particular ABB's value proposition
  • Agree with the Business Unit/Product Group the relevant metrics (e.g. On Time In Full (OTIF), lead time) that the Business Unit/Product Group must report and focus on to ensure and grow customer satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering
  • 4-6 years of experience in Switchgears or cable industry
  • Open to frequent travel
  • Responsibility for Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and Jamshedpur regions
