This Position reports to: Local Division Manager

This role is contributing to the ABB Medium Voltage Drives and Packaging Business Lines within Motion High Power division in Canada.

Work model: Hybrid

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to lead strategic development and sales initiatives to grow our Medium Voltage Drives and Packaging business lines, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Leading strategic business development and sales initiatives to grow our Medium Voltage Drives and Packaging business lines sales and presence in Canada
  • Defining our local G2M strategy and value proposition
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and communicates value proposition to customers
  • Driving top-line growth via new customer acquisition and increased share of wallet
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities
  • Ensuring local alignment with global strategies while promoting cross-divisional collaboration
  • Localizing and implementing the Business Lines (BL) strategies through a comprehensive multi-year country plan, assuming full ownership of local implementation
  • Conducting market research, analyze data, and understand market trends to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
  • Building and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to ensure superior customer experience

Qualifications for the Role

  • Highly skilled in business development with track record of sale growth with the Canadian market
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in sales and running a front-end sales operation, and demonstrating a profitable growth record
  • Degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering
  • Strong background in Motion business, deep understanding of industrial markets, customer needs, and growth levers
  • Leadership skills with a growth mindset: developing teams, fostering cross-division collaboration, and promoting accountability
  • Fluent in English and French. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis
