About the Role

This position reports to: User Experience Manager

As a UI Developer, you'll be working with ABB Automation Digital division's UX Team to transform the way industries will experience analytics, insight, and technology. You will define experiences that will help the entire Enterprise focus on their business and operations fostering optimization, safety, across their functions.

Responsibilities

• Create working prototypes using multiple web development languages, primarily Angular JS, React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Be well-versed with rapid prototyping in Agile environment
• Collaborate with product management and engineering team to define and implement visually pleasing graphic designs, Figma wireframes into web applications and pages
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
• Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
• Establish and promote coding guidelines, best practices, and standards
• Create storyboards, user flow and process flow to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience as UI Developer and handling UI deliverables, from HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular/React custom UI Components
• Degree in Computer Engineering or an equivalent qualification
• Certification from Human Factors International (HFI) will be an added advantage
• Demonstrable UI development skills with a strong portfolio
• Solid experience in creating responsive prototypes using high resolution visuals, Figma mock-ups and user flows for web and mobile applications
• Proficiency in Web Development languages such as Angular JS, React, HTML/CSS and JavaScript
• Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders
• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
• Up to date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies for both Web and Mobile platforms
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
• Experience working with DevOps code repo
