Position Overview

Reports to: Local Business Manager / Gerente de Ventas

Work Model: Hybrid

Division: Motion Service

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes in collaboration with the Services Sales Manager, generate service sales opportunities and ensure profitable sales within designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire Services product portfolio. You will also demonstrate your expertise in building long-term customer relationships and ensuring immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

You will be primarily responsible for:

  • Penetrating the IB, promoting various upgrades, modernizations (retrofits) and value-added solutions for the benefit of customers and ABB
  • Understanding channel strategy and related pricing, and preparing sales plans, reviewing them and proposing recovery plans when necessary
  • Generating service sales prospects and developing new market opportunities using market trend information and identifying and exploring possible new service portfolios
  • Acting as promoter/seller of ABB's products and service solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings)
  • Establishing long-term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and applicable regulations and demonstrating deep technical knowledge of products/service solutions to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM)
  • Contributing to risk assessments related to price and quality
  • Planning and performing the appropriate number of weekly sales visits and reporting them in the CRM
  • Reporting prospects/opportunities, managing and updating the pipeline in the CRM
  • Updating and monitoring commercial proposals and bidding, and tracking proposal statistics
  • Communicating contractual details in accordance with ABB's offer and strategy and managing sales administrative processes

Qualifications

  • Education in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic or Mechatronics Engineering
  • More than 4 years of experience in technical services sales, preferably in MT/LV electric motors and generators
  • Knowledge of the mining market, power generation and general industry
  • Experience with sales management tools, preferably Salesforce
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency
  • Availability to travel 80% of the time
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to achieve sales objectives and contribute in a dynamic environment
