Your role and responsibilities

As a Product Specialist, you will dive into modern industrial technologies and turn complex en-gineering challenges into practical solutions. You’ll become the go to expert for conventional low voltage switchgear solutions, working closely with customers, sales teams, and product develop-ment to ensure our solutions deliver real value in the field. This role is ideal for hands on engi-neers or motivated graduates who want to build strong technical expertise while staying connect-ed to business needs, real applications and financial results. You’ll deepen your knowledge, fol-low market trends, and help transform customer and industry requirements into tangible product improvements, making a visible impact while growing your career.

The work model for the role is: onsite
You will be mainly accountable for:

• Act as a local product owner for conventional ABB’s low voltage switchgear solutions. Collaborate with R&D, global product management, and value streams throughout the product lifecycle.

• Support customers and internal teams with hands on technical advice, presentations, and training. Create technical documentation, application guides, and training materials.

• Understanding and complying with global and regional standards, as well as market and customer requirements, and assessing their impact on the current offer portfolio.

• Work on real projects by evaluating technical specifications, preparing designs concepts, and troubleshooting. Recommend efficient, value driven technical solutions.

• Conducting market size and trend analyses, as well as competitor benchmarking, including identifying offer gaps and evaluating ABB’s market position.

• Managing the technical specifications of assigned products and supporting the Product Manager in developing business cases for offer development, maintenance, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Stay current with environmental, safety and technical market trends.

Qualifications for the role

• Enjoy solving complex problems, optimizing performance, and seeing your technical decisions directly impact results. Select proper features to win battle for customer.

• Min Bachelor’s degree in Electrotechnology or Mechanics. Economy possible if compensated by willingness to understand portfolio and increasing team’s financial perspective.

• Willingness to learn quickly and grow into a technical expert role.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to grasp applications and solve technical problems.

• Strong communication skills with a people-oriented mindset; empathy and the ability to understand customer needs.

• Confidence to work with customers, sales teams, and internal experts.

• Fluent communication skills in Czech and English.

• Valid EU driving license and willingness to travel internationally (max 10%).
