This position reports to: Teamlead HR Business Partner

The work model for the role is: hybrid with the opportunity of 10 home office days a month

This role is contributing to the Machine Automation division of ABB Group (B&R) in Austria.

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a key role in the business with both operational and strategic HR initiatives and processes. You'll act as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, managing impactful HR processes and contributing to organizational development. You will demonstrate your knowledge by representing HR in the business and building meaningful relationships throughout the organization.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Partner with managers and teams to shape and implement people strategies that support business goals—through talent management, workforce planning, and organizational development—while aligning with global and local HR processes
  • Facilitate and support change initiatives, including digital transformation, cultural evolution, and organizational shifts, by enhancing engagement, flexibility, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with the works council, offering legal guidance on Austrian labor law and collective bargaining agreements to ensure a fair, constructive, and compliant work environment
  • Support the full employee lifecycle, from hiring and onboarding to development and offboarding, by applying HR processes in a way that's pragmatic, people-focused, and adds real value to the business

You will join a team of 7 collaborative HR Business Partners and an extended HR team in Eggelsberg, where you will be able to thrive.

Qualifications for the Role

Mandatory:

  • +5 years of experience within an HR Business Partner role, ideally in an industrial environment or within an international corporate organization
  • Extensive knowledge of Austrian labor law and works council, preferably in the Electrical & Electronics industry
  • Advanced skills in managing HR processes such as performance management, talent development, and workforce planning
  • Proficient in business fluent communication skills in both English and German
  • Collaborative working style where you thrive in sparring together with HR colleagues and managers across the organization
  • Motivated by creating impactful relationships where you are promoting change as a natural part of personal and organizational growth and development
  • Qualified to manage complex employee relations and resolve conflicts

Compensation

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is € 4,341.85 gross per month as of May 2025. There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
