Work model: Onsite

Your Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to execute service work of medium to high complexity as per work instructions and ABB guidelines. Each day, you will deliver excellent customer service to satisfy customers. You will also showcase your expertise by working with customer to identify opportunities in the installed base, to improve system performance and operational performance.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Performing complex field service tasks, identifies technical problems, and makes analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform
  • Troubleshoot Equipment/Process failures and requests proactive corrective actions and makes recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
  • Planning and preparing site work for larger project team and managing related subcontractors at site
  • Contributing to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work as per customer order and expectations
  • Ensuring customer retention by delivering superior customer experience and effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations
  • Taking actions to identify new service business opportunities for ABB, in close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams
  • Coaching technicians and engineers and supervising complex site activities

Qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer in instrumentation, Electrical or Equivalent Engineering degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in ABB system 800xA power management system (PMS) with Integration of IEC61850 Devices, application development with PMS specific libraries - project & commissioning is a must have
  • Experience in ABB system 800xA and Working knowledge / skillset in industrial communication protocols like IEC104 Modbus- RTU & TCP, OPC, IEC61131 etc.
  • Working knowledge in Substation automation system / ABB legacy systems
  • Experience in Industrial networking, network switch configuration
  • ICS Cybersecurity competence is an added advantage
