Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive proactive business development initiatives aligned with Motion’s strategy across Colombia and Ecuador, with a particular focus on markets and business conditions that require increased attention and support. Each day, you will provide commercial and technical expertise in electric motors, including products, applications, solutions, and the OEM segment within the Electric Motors portfolio. You will also leverage your expertise to drive profitable business growth and ensure the successful and sustainable execution of the division’s strategic objectives.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

This role is contributing to the Motion business area in Colombia.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring the strategies and business plans are aligned with the overall division’s strategy to achieve defined targets.
  • Defining Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets for existing products as well as new product launches in collaboration with the Marketing function and ensuring their achievement.
  • Overseeing the implementation of activities for agreed cross-divisional, product group, and regional initiatives.
  • Supporting the organization in the execution of product launches and customer events when required.

Qualifications for the role

  • You are highly skilled in working with electric motors and OEM customers, and you enjoy operating within the industrial automation, motors, drives, and electrical equipment market.
  • You have 5+ years of experience in technical sales, business development, or customer-facing roles involving electric motors, with a strong technical understanding of motor applications. Experience with variable frequency drives (VFDs) is desirable.
  • Possess an enhanced knowledge of electric motor technologies, applications, and consultative selling methodologies. Knowledge of drives and motor control solutions is considered an advantage.
  • Experience working with OEMs is highly preferred.
  • You are passionate about building trusted customer relationships, influencing stakeholders, and delivering value through a consultative approach. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • You are at ease communicating in English at an advanced level.
  • You are willing to travel up to 50% of the time to support customers and business development activities.
