Your role and responsibilities:

This role is part of a talent pool for professionals with hands-on experience in DCS, preferably in ABB DCS 800xA, Symphony plus(S+), Advant MOD 300, combining Project Engineering, Commissioning, and Field Service capabilities. The position supports activities across the project and plant lifecycle, including engineering, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support, while ensuring compliance with ABB quality and HSE standards. While there may not be an immediate opening, we are actively building a pipeline of qualified Project Engineers for future opportunities within our Process Automation business.

The work model for the role is: #

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Executing DCS engineering, configuration, commissioning, and service activities using ABB 800xA, Symphony plus(S+).

• Developing system graphics, control logic, and IO lists based on P&IDs and customer documentation.

• Performing FAT, SAT, loop checks, functional testing, and trial runs at customer sites.

• Providing on-site DCS service support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.

• Coordinating with customers and internal teams to ensure timely and quality delivery.

• Ensuring adherence to ABB HSE, quality, and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications for the role

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering from a reputed university (should be full-time)

• 4-12 years of experience in any DCS system, preferably in ABB DCS 800xA, Symphony plus(S+), Advant MOD 300

• Must have experience in commissioning, installation, and/or service.

• Knowledge of process control and instrumentation in energy, power, oil & gas, chemicals, or pharma industries.

• Experience with project execution and site-based commissioning or service activities.

• You are at ease communicating in English
