The Measurement & Analytics Division is among the world's leading manufacturers and suppliers of smart instrumentation and analyzers, working at the heart of industrial digital transformation. ABB's Measurement & Analytics Division's portfolio consists of analyzers measuring compositions of gases and liquids; instrumentation measuring process variables such as temperature, pressure, flow, and level; force measurement solutions measuring parameters such as flatness, thickness, and tension; and advanced digital solutions for device management, device health check and predictive maintenance.

Our Measurement & Analytics Division serves key industries such as oil and gas, chemical, water and wastewater, power, hydrogen, batteries, as well as the marine industry. It enables the optimization of industrial processes by providing and analyzing data collected from sensing and smart measurement devices. Parameters such as emission levels and production inputs are measured by providing 'before' and 'after' values, enabling efficient operations and environmental sustainability through measurement.

Required Experience & Expertise

Extensive ABB Instruments Expertise

• Minimum 3-5 years hands on Instruments experience (ideally ABB) such as flow meter (Water master, Process Master, Aqua Master), pressure transmitter, Temp.

Transmitter and Level Transmitters:

Commissioning & Troubleshooting Skills

• Proven experience in commissioning, calibration, validation, and repair of Instruments

Communication & Integration Knowledge

• Skilled in setting up and troubleshooting Modbus/OPC/TCP-IP communication loops, integrating third-party systems, and resolving connectivity issues with ABB systems

Industry Application & Documentation

• Familiarity with Instruments used in refineries, petrochemical, cement, paper, power, metals/minerals, and water/wastewater sectors
• Capable of suggesting service contracts and completing ABB documentation and reports professionally
• Proven capacity to manage own time effectively & collaborate in team environment
• Commissioning and support of customer expectations requires proven time management and capacity to work under pressure

Qualifications for the Role

Educational Background

• Diploma or trade background in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Chemistry

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with instruments, including at least 5 years in the field
• Prior working experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA) is essential

Technical Expertise

• Strong proficiency in Instrument Troubleshooting, calibration, and integration with process sample and communication protocols (Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP)

Industry & Service Knowledge

• Familiarity with Instrument applications across refineries, petrochemical, cement, paper, power, metals/minerals, and water/wastewater sectors
• Comfortable to promote and recommend ABB Instrument products and service contracts, and handling documentation per ABB standards
