Reports to: Global Service Owner for Network Service
Location: Bangalore

This role is contributing to the IS Services in Bangalore Location as a Global IS Network Solutions Engineer, focused on designing, supporting network infrastructure and maintenance.
About the Role
The Network Security Engineer will implement and optimize comprehensive network security solutions to protect the organization's global IT infrastructure. This role focuses on leveraging Zero Trust principles, advanced firewall technologies, SASE frameworks, and IDS/IPS systems to safeguard critical assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in network security, a strategic mindset, and the ability to align security solutions with business objectives in a complex, multi-vendor environment.
Responsibilities
Network Implementation & Support
- Design, deploy and configure network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points for LAN, WAN, and software defined networks SD-LAN, SDWAN, SD-Datacenter
Network Maintenance
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure network reliability and efficiency
Automation Support
- Use tools like Ansible, Python, or PowerShell to automate network tasks such as configuration updates and monitoring
Security Operations
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to ensure network security
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work with architects and IT teams on projects
- Maintain accurate records of configurations and troubleshooting procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 3-5 years of network engineering experience with 1-2 years in automation and security
Technical Skills & Certifications
- Proficient in routing & switching, DNS, network devices (Cisco, HPE Aruba, Checkpoint, etc)
- Familiar with automation and security tools
- Preferred certifications include CCIE, Comp
TIA Network COBIT:
- Good communication skills
