This Position reports to: Superviseur, Groupe électronique

ABB's Process Automation business area enables customers to operate some of the world's largest and most complex industrial infrastructures, helping them outrun – leaner and cleaner. We offer a broad range of automation, electrification and digital solutions for process, hybrid and maritime industries, including industry-specific integrated control and software as well as measurement and analytics solutions and services.

Your Role

  • Design and develop electronic circuits, including modeling and simulation for both digital and analog systems
  • Select appropriate electronic components
  • Design cables and harnesses
  • Contribute to the writing of design documentation, technical budgets, and test and commissioning documentation
  • Participate in the commissioning and testing of electronic boards
  • Take part in multidisciplinary design reviews and present progress at various project stages
  • Actively contribute to project planning and estimation tasks
  • Participate in the application of safety standards (CE, CSA, ATEX), environmental standards (RoHS, WEEE), and electromagnetic compliance standards (CE, FCC)

What it Takes to Run what Runs the World

  • Holds a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with over 15 years of experience, along with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of electronic circuits
  • Skilled in prototyping and commissioning of electronic boards, with hands-on experience in hardware development
  • Proficient with tools such as Altium Designer, PSpice, and MATLAB; knowledge of programming languages including C, Python, and VHDL is considered an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English, with excellent communication skills in both spoken and written forms. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis
