About the Role

Reports to: Project Engineer

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Bangalore, India

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business and you will be mainly accountable for designing, developing, and executing automation solutions across a wide range of industrial applications.

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on experience in PLC/DCS programming and SCADA/HMI development
• Proficiency in industrial communication protocols: Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, IEC 61850, IEC 104, OPC, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, FTP, MQTT
• Knowledge of SQL database configuration and reporting/analytics tools
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: VLAN, routing, redundancy protocols, switch configuration, firewall settings, and antivirus policies
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, P&IDs, and control schematics
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities
• Excellent communication, documentation, and customer interface skills
• Requirement analysis, PLC logic development, and SCADA/HMI engineering
• Customer interaction and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery and commissioning

Qualifications

• Full time B.Tech-EE, BE-EE, or E&C
• 4-6 years of experience
