Service Sales Manager – Robotics

This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. Soft Bank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. Reports to: Service Manager

In this role, you will drive service sales processes, generate new service opportunities, and secure profitable sales within the designated areas. Each day, you will focus on Installed Base (IB) penetration and promote the full Service product portfolio. You will also leverage your expertise to build long-term customer relationships and ensure prompt responses to specific customer needs and issues.

Location: Canada – Robotics Service Area

Position type: Replacement of a current role

Key Responsibilities

  • Penetrate the Installed Base by promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions that benefit both customers and ABB
  • Support current install base in your designated territory and increase sales within those accounts
  • Understand channel strategy, establish related pricing, prepare sales plans, review performance, and propose recovery plans when needed
  • Generate service sales leads and develop new market opportunities by analyzing market trends and identifying potential new service offerings
  • Act as a marketer and salesperson for ABB's service products and solutions during campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, and customer meetings

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical service sales, preferably in automation and/or robotics
  • Knowledge of the automotive market and general industry
  • Experience with sales management tools, preferably Salesforce
  • Advanced English
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Mechatronic Engineering

Compensation & Benefits

Expected annual salary: $103,125 – $151,250 (based on qualifications and experience)
