This Position reports to:

Key responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of robotics products, systems, and solutions within the General Industry segment in Germany, in line with the Robotics & Discrete Automation division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and long-term customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities, with a strong focus on key account management and solution-oriented selling across ABB’s state-of-the-art robotics portfolio.
The work model for the role is: remote / #
In addition to working from a home office setup, this role involves nationwide sales activities with a strong on-site customer focus in Germany. The position is primarily responsible for customers located in Southern Germany, with a particular concentration in the region between Stuttgart, Munich, and Nuremberg. Therefore, candidates are ideally based within this triangle or alternatively elsewhere in Southern Germany, enabling efficient travel and close customer proximity.
This role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation business area in Germany. Main stakeholders are customers from small and medium-sized enterprises to global key accounts, internal sales teams, marketing, and product management.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Driving sales volume and margin across ABB’s full Robotics portfolio within the General Industry segment.

Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships through in-depth understanding of customer needs and ABB solutions.

Developing and executing sales plans, proposals, and customer-specific solution concepts.

Supplying customers with products, solutions, and services in line with agreed volume, mix, and profitability targets.

Identifying and developing new market opportunities in close collaboration with the wider sales and marketing organization.

Monitoring customer and market trends to support effective marketing activities and strategic sales initiatives.

Coordinating information flow for sales activities, transactions, and internal stakeholders.

Providing structured market and customer feedback to support continuous portfolio and strategy development.
You will join a collaborative, performance-driven, and internationally connected team, where proactive sales ownership, customer focus, and mutual support enable you to thrive and grow.
Qualifications for the role

You are immersed in solution-oriented sales, key account management, and consultative selling methodologies and the robotics and industrial automation market

Ability to demonstrate your experience in sales and business development / You have at least 3 years of experience in technical sales within robotics or industrial automation

Possess an enhanced knowledge of web-based sales tools and CRM platforms such as Salesforce

You are passionate about building long-term customer relationships and identifying customer-centric solutions

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification in a technical or commercial discipline

You are at ease communicating in German and English, both written and spoken

Valid work permit for Germany, where required
