HR Operations Manager – Kraków Hub

Reports to: HR Delivery Lead

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead HR Services operations in our Kraków Hub, managing a team of approximately 50 HR professionals. Each day, you will take full accountability for delivering end-to-end HR services with a focus on operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and alignment with global performance targets. Together with your team, you will ensure smooth daily operations and optimal workload organization to deliver high-quality HR support to HR Business Partners, Managers, and employees.

The key purpose of the Human Resources (HR) Operations team is to help ABB stand out when it comes to our people – from leadership, performance, and talent management to rewards and career opportunity. Work model: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Global Business Services (GBS) – HR Operations in Kraków. Main stakeholders include HR Business Partners, Front Office Managers, HR Delivery Leads, and global service line owners.

Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely HR Services across respective service lines, ensuring adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and standard operating procedures
  • Managing and developing a team of 4 Team Leads and approx. 50 HR professionals, setting clear goals, promoting growth, and an effective, customer-focused culture
  • Supporting the global HR roadmap by implementing global initiatives (e.g., acquisitions, divestments, new policies) and ensuring effective deployment within the Hub
  • Coordinating the post-Workday stabilization efforts by supervising workload, enhancing processes, and resolving escalations together with global HR functions and system experts
  • Facilitating collaboration across global and regional HR teams to ensure alignment, consistent service quality, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Supporting financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking service cost efficiencies
  • Planning the future of HR operations by refining the operating model, governance, and organizational structure to improve scalability and resilience

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in people leadership roles, managing teams of 30+ employees in HR operations or shared services
  • Highly skilled in managing shared services teams and delivering end-to-end HR operational services in a global organization
  • Advanced knowledge of HR systems and tools (e.g., Workday), combined with advanced skills in process optimization, SLA tracking, and escalation handling
  • Dedicated to people development, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction in a constantly evolving international environment
  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • English language skills (C1 level); German is a plus
  • Proficient stakeholder management skills, ability to manage evolving priorities, and an interactive, results-driven approach
