Reports to: Global Category Manager

This role is contributing to Process Automation Business in Bangalore Location.

Key Responsibilities

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Executes purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products
• Designs and implements plans and effective strategies for local/global sourcing of products/materials/services to reach business targets
• Supports the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local/global sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements
• Supports alignment between procurement activities and division strategy
• Applies and implements procurement standards, tools, and processes in their own area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
• Tracks the procurement processes and activities and create and updates reports, as required, following the ABB standards
• Lead RFQs, RFPs, and contract negotiations for DCS systems and automation parts
• Secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality and reliability standards
• Work closely with engineering teams to understand project technical specifications and requirements
• Ensure sourced products meet technical standards

Qualifications

• BE / B-Tech with 3-5 years of experience in SCM P&L activities
• SAP background
• Strong understanding of PLC systems, industrial automation, and control engineering
• Knowledge on techno-commercial aspects of process automation
• Experience on sourcing for automation projects having exposure in DCS, PLC, Network components and IT Hardware and software
• Expertise in tender management and execution of process automation projects
