About the Role
This position reports to: Sales Manager
As Sales Specialist (m/f/d) you are responsible for sales in one of the biggest Divisions in Motion, Germany. In this highly technological environment, you are the crucial link to our customers. You will contribute to success together with the sales team, coordinate and plan complex solutions as well as sales strategies and develop measures to acquire new customers.
Would you like to help shape the successes for our world-leading ABB products in automation technology such as low and medium voltage motors, frequency converters and controllers? Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Responsibility for the acquisition of new customers as well as for maintaining and securing the customer base
- Competent contact person for our customers and customer-oriented presentation of selected ABB products and solutions
- Conversion of requirements in the OEM customer segment into appropriate solutions by analyzing specifications and tenders
- Preparation and follow-up of offers (supported by the technical office staff) up to project negotiation or negotiation of framework agreements
- Continuous monitoring of the market and competitors and participation in the development of new sales strategies
- Participation in trade fairs, customer events and promotions and support of our marketing activities
- Budget responsibility with regular results analysis of all activities on your own responsibility
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering or similar, preferably in the field of drives technology
- First professional experience in the field service, ideally in OEM sales and in the field of drive technology
- Application experience and application knowledge for the use of frequency converters, electric motors and control systems
- High customer and market orientation, strong closing and assertiveness skills as well as persuasive power, negotiation skills, service orientation and self-management
- Open-mindedness towards new media and technologies
- High willingness to travel for customer appointments within Germany
- Very good German and English language skills, both written and spoken
