This position reports to: Sales Support Manager
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support the sales organization in the Automation – Energy Industries business unit, as well as our customers, in the proposal and new business development process. As the central technical contact person, you will be responsible for creating detailed proposals, calculating costs, and ensuring the quality of the final proposal documentation.
Your main tasks include:
- Technical and commercial development of proposals for customer inquiries, including addressing complex issues in process automation and electrical engineering, as well as the precise design of systems and selection of equipment components
- Project costing and monitoring, including service and project cost calculations, market price analysis, and monitoring of costs and deadlines during the proposal phase
- Consulting, presenting, and supporting customers through clear explanations and presentations of proposals, as well as actively evaluating customer needs, including at trade fairs and events, and through marketing and customer retention activities
- Further development of the sales support process and management of project teams during proposal preparation to optimize processes and ensure the successful implementation of demanding projects
You will become part of a dedicated team that jointly develops innovative solutions for a sustainable energy and process industry. Here you will have the necessary scope to contribute your expertise and creative ideas.
Qualifications
- Successfully completed degree, ideally in electrical engineering with a focus on energy or automation technology, or a comparable qualification
- Sound experience in process automation and electrical engineering, ideally in proposal preparation or technical sales, with a good understanding of technical and commercial contexts
- Proficiency in using relevant engineering and calculation tools
- Conceptual thinking, strong communication skills, and a structured, flexible work style
- Passionate about customer-oriented work, teamwork, and innovative, sustainable solutions
- Creativity and initiative in daily work
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and coordination skills
- Fluent communication in German and English, both written and spoken
