In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your skills by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to support professional development.

To strengthen our Procurement team, we are looking for a Procurement Specialist with fluency in Italian language and hands-on experience working in purchasing.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

The main purpose of the role is operational indirect purchasing that includes creation of orders, goods receipt tracking, daily contact with international requestors, suppliers, sourcing and accounting team. In this role you will:

• Support PR to PO process, track goods receipt, confirm delivery and conditions with suppliers
• Manage the day-to-day cooperation with a portfolio of international approved suppliers fulfilling the needs of both internal and external customer. You will implement Procurement Strategy by cooperation with Sourcing team
• Track goods received to verify appropriate delivery and ensure invoice processing
• Aligns supplier orders with customer requirements (based on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)/project requirements) in terms of content, quality, delivery, sustainability and price
• Conducts all Procurement activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures. Ensures Pro-Supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in Pro-Supply procedure

Qualifications for the role:

• You are highly skilled in using tools such as Excel and SAP (purchasing module), leveraging them to support procurement and finance processes within a professional environment.
• You have around 1+ year of experience in purchasing or finance, delivering efficient and effective operational support (experience in a shared services environment is a strong plus).
• You are adept at communicating fluently in Italian (B2+) and business English (B2), demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You are committed to delivering high-quality customer service, with a proactive, flexible, and solution-oriented approach to meeting customer needs.
• You possess strong interpersonal skills and a teamwork mindset, enabling effective collaboration in dynamic and international environments.
