Position Overview

Reports to: Service Team Leader

Location: Surat, India

Work Model: On-site

Business Unit: ABB Motion

This role offers the opportunity to execute service work with low to medium complexity as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards, and safety guidelines. Each day, you will plan and execute work on a first-time right approach with customers, showcasing your expertise by displaying a clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in your own area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Work with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer's operations and eliminate pain points
• Perform field service tasks, identify technical issues, and perform analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products
• Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensure that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities
• Troubleshoot equipment/process failures, request proactive corrective actions, and make recommendations to avoid such issues in the future

Qualifications

• Full time engineering degree in Electrical or Electronics Communication
• 3 to 4 years of experience in LV and MV drives
• Experience in Installation and Commissioning of Drives
• Strong experience in Troubleshooting
• Good communication skills
• PLC Programming knowledge (added advantage)
