Position Overview

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Your Role

Own the Challenge:

As an Associate Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the installation and commissioning of automation, control, and electrical systems on site within Energy Industries projects.

  • Lead and coordinate the installation and commissioning of PLC systems, DCS/SCADA systems, operator interfaces, as well as low- and medium-voltage equipment, protection and excitation systems for power generation, oil & gas, and process industry facilities
  • Independently supervise and verify manufacturing, installation activities, and subcontractor performance on site, ensuring compliance with customer specifications, technical requirements, and applicable quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Provide technical consulting to customers and deliver expert technical recommendations throughout various project phases to ensure successful project execution within defined schedules, budgets, and quality requirements
  • Assume technical, commercial, and organizational responsibility on site, including the handling of technical claims, enforcement of safety standards, and a high willingness to travel (approx. 90%)

Qualifications

  • Completed education in electrical engineering or a related discipline, combined with at least 10 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proven experience in site management, construction supervision, and on-site coordination of technical activities
  • Solid general IT skills; proficiency in MS Office required, with knowledge of AutoCAD, EPLAN P8, and SAP considered an advantage
  • Strong commitment to safe working practices and strict adherence to all applicable occupational health and safety regulations
  • High level of self-motivation, openness to new topics, and a continuous willingness to acquire and apply new technologies
  • Team-oriented and solution-driven working style, complemented by very good written and verbal communication skills
  • Very good command of German (C1) and good command of English (B1), both written and spoken
  • High willingness to travel within Austria (approx. 90%)

Compensation

In accordance with the collective agreement for the electrical and electronics industry in Austria, the minimum salary for this position is €60,000 gross per year (May 2025). There is a clear willingness to offer compensation above the collectively agreed minimum salary, depending on qualifications and experience.
