Your role and responsibilities

We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Sales experts to manage business development and sales activities across the Central Asia & Caucasus region, based in our headquarters in Istanbul.

This role is ideal for a directly engaged**, field-oriented professional** who is passionate about building new markets, developing strong customer relationships, and driving sustainable growth in dynamic and emerging regions.

The work model for the role is: {hybrid}

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Manage sales and business development activities across assigned countries, ensuring achievement of volume, profitability, and strategic targets

  • Seek out, develop, and onboard new customers, partners, and distribution channels across established and emerging markets

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with distributors, wholesalers, panel builders, EPCs, investors and electrical contractors

  • Play a leading role in expanding ABB’s footprint in less penetrated countries by creating new business opportunities

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product Marketing, Technical Promotion, Sales) to execute effective go-to-market strategies, campaigns, and trainings

  • Lead or contribute to key negotiations, tenders, and framework agreements

  • Monitor sales performance, identify risks, and implement recovery or growth action plans

  • Ensure all activities are tracked in Salesforce and aligned with financial and trade compliance processes

  • Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in active sales and business development, preferably in the electrical industry

  • Strong experience in Central Asia and/or Caucasus markets with proven understanding of local dynamics

  • Background in LV switchgear, products, and solutions is a strong plus

  • Fluency in English, Turkish, and Russian is essential

  • Experience developing new markets, acquiring customers, and growing business

  • Highly self-motivated, takes initiative, and results-driven with strong communication and negotiation skills

  • Willingness to travel frequently across the region (high mobility required)

  • Valid driver’s license
