Position Overview
Reports to: Finance Manager
About the Role
In this role, you will drive reliable and timely analysis of financial results, budget, and forecasts by supporting key business partners and other stakeholders at various levels or within the center of expertise, in decision making processes and to drive business goals. This role is contributing to the Motion BA Function Finance (COE).
Responsibilities
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Performs and oversees the analysis of financial results in their area of responsibility or team and coordinates the preparation of various management reports, including performance reports, commentaries on financial statements, etc., on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
- Evaluates the impact of strategic, financial, or other investment decisions
- Coordinates and oversees financial planning processes and activities (e.g., financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting)
- Lead and manage FP&A COE team (~8-10 members) based out of Bangalore
- Coordinates with key stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment and effective delivery of COE support
- Ensures that budget and forecast instructions are up-to-date and followed
- Drives the implementation of standardized processes and tools to support the financial planning activities in their area of responsibility
- Drives the management reporting activities, including preparation of management discussion and analysis
- Works with the reporting units to follow up on the inconsistencies noted on management reporting information
- Drives the implementation of various controlling & planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting or Business administration
- 8+ years of experience in Controlling and accounting incl. leadership experience of running team size of 3-8
- Minimum 3 years of Team Leading experience in Accounting, Finance or Controlling
- Experience of working in service delivery model environment
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a global or multinational organization
- Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities for conveying complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting
- Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial software, especially SAP
