In this role, you will have the opportunity to bring new business opportunities to life while strengthening and expanding existing ones through your knowledge of products and markets. Each day, you will support customers throughout the sales process within your assigned area, guiding them from initial discussions to successful outcomes. You will contribute your expertise by actively participating in sales strategy discussions, aligning on both short-term and long-term goals, and creating meaningful value for both the customer and ABB. By applying effective sales techniques, you will ensure the successful execution of transactions, contracts, and proposals.

The work model for this role is hybrid - #Li Hybrid. This position contributes to the Business Line Analytical within the Division Measurement and Analytics in Norway.

Your role and responsibilities:

In your day-to-day work, you will take part in sales strategy discussions for your assigned area, helping define clear objectives and direction. You will develop sales plans for the Analytical business line in close coordination with the Division Sales Manager and Product Organization. By analyzing customer needs alongside competitor offerings, using both market insights and internal knowledge, you will shape strong, competitive approaches.

You will ensure that marketing activities, such as product launches and customer communications, are carried out effectively, clearly communicating the value proposition of products, systems, services, and solutions. Supporting customers in identifying the most technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions will be a key part of your role, particularly when preparing complex offers. You will also provide technical support during meetings, product presentations, and negotiations, and deliver training related to products and solutions when needed.

A strong focus will be placed on achieving sales targets by selling products, systems, and services with attention to volume, product mix, and profitability across assigned product groups. You will take ownership of specific customer cases, ensuring efficient resolution of any issues and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. By analyzing lost proposals, you will identify opportunities to improve competitiveness in future bids.

Regularly reviewing sales performance will allow you to anticipate potential shortfalls and propose recovery plans where necessary. You will provide accurate sales forecasts for your assigned area to the Division Sales Manager and maintain consistent reporting on sales performance and training activities.

You will join a small, dynamic, and international team where collaboration and initiative are valued, offering an environment in which you can grow and make a meaningful impact.

Qualifications for the role:

You are genuinely engaged in the energy transition and motivated by bringing sustainable solutions to the market. You have hands-on experience in the field of Process Analytics, supported by a strong understanding of continuous and process gas measurement technologies. With an entrepreneurial mindset, you are able to turn customer needs into practical and sustainable solutions that create real value.

You hold a degree in Chemical Engineering or Automation, complemented by sales experience that allows you to bridge technical expertise with commercial success. You communicate confidently in English, knowledge of Norwegian is considered an advantage, and you are open to regular travel as part of the role.
