About the Role
As an HR Business Partner within the Motors and Drives divisions, you will support divisional leaders across Canada (MONM, MOSE, MODP, and MOHP) and be part of the executive leadership team. You will act as a strategic partner to the leadership team by providing HR expertise and support aimed at achieving business objectives. You will have the opportunity to develop and deploy talent management strategies aligned with organizational objectives, foster a positive work environment, and ensure effective execution of HR policies and programs. You will provide HR support in close collaboration with relevant managers. You will demonstrate your expertise by representing the HR function within the organization and establishing strong relationships with all leaders and employees.
The work model for this position is hybrid.
Reports to: Vice-President and General Manager, ABB Motion Canada
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to align HR strategies with business objectives, by developing and promoting HR pillars and priorities for the Motion and Drives organization, in accordance with global strategic direction
- Oversee attraction, development, and retention of talent by identifying skills needs, coordinating training programs, and ensuring that the sales organization has the necessary capabilities to ensure current and future success
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a culture of open communication and engagement
- Ensure solid and value-added HR service delivery by supporting all stages of the employee lifecycle, collaborating with functional teams and shared services, and executing key HR processes with measurable impact on business results
- Strengthen organizational performance and compliance by tracking HR indicators, driving change management and continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws, ABB policies, and best practices that promote harmonious and constructive labor relations
Required Qualifications
- At least 10 years of HR experience, including a minimum of 10 years in a strategic partnership role
- Bilingual in French and English. English is necessary to communicate with clients outside Quebec
- You enjoy working with employees across the country and have experience supporting all levels of management
- Experience in change management and supporting teams during periods of transition
- Passionate about employee well-being, career development, and talent evolution
- Solid knowledge of HR best practices and local labor laws
- Demonstrated experience working within a large international organization and comfortable collaborating with functions and shared services
- Membership in a professional order (CRHA, CRIA, or CHRP) is an asset
