Position Overview

Reports to: Local Business Service Manager

Work model: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Electrification Service (ELSE) division in Thailand. Main stakeholders are local and regional procurement teams, suppliers, logistics service providers, warehouse operations, service operation, sales, and finance departments.

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to lead a team to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company and Procurement team instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Executing purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products
  • Designing and implementing plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets
  • Support in implementing effective local sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to meet current and future business requirements
  • Applying and implementing procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
  • Managing end-to-end logistics operations including inbound/outbound transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution
  • Coordinating customs clearance, import/export documentation, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations
  • Optimizing logistics costs through effective freight management, route planning, and carrier negotiations
  • Implementing and monitoring procurement and logistics KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
  • Managing relationships with logistics service providers including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL partners

Qualifications for the Role

  • Highly skilled in procurement strategies, supplier management, logistics operations, and supply chain optimization within the electrical equipment, industrial automation, or manufacturing market
  • 5-8 years of experience in procurement and logistics management, working in roles that involve supplier negotiations, inventory control, warehouse management, and transportation coordination
  • Enhanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP preferred), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Passionate about cost optimization, process improvement, and building strong supplier relationships, with excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Fluent in English and Thai (both written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of Thai customs regulations and international trade compliance is advantageous
