Position Overview
Reports to: Production Supervisor
This role is contributing to the Electrification Distribution Solutions in Dilovası/Kocaeli.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to operate process equipment or machinery to convert raw materials or semi-finished parts into components or finished parts for a final product at the right time and with the required quality. Each day, you will execute the assigned tasks according to agreed workflows and in accordance with ABB standard processes and safety guidelines and reports any non-compliance. You will also showcase your expertise by operating machines in accordance with the operating manual, work schedule, and/or production order instructions.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Performing production according to given work orders, ensuring the necessary quality conditions
- Preparing or editing programs via the Mitsubishi CNC unit
- Processing parts in accordance with production instructions
- Performing tool resetting, tool life monitoring, and tool changes
- Checking the compliance of machined parts with tolerances
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly machine maintenance and checks (oil level, air line, cleaning, etc.)
- Working in accordance with occupational safety rules and adhering to quality standards
- Identifying and reporting any tool/machine errors that may occur during the production process
Qualifications for the Role
- Graduated from a vocational high school or vocational school's departments of Mechanical Engineering, CNC, Machining, etc.
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience working with a Mitsubishi control unit on CNC milling machines
- Mitsubishi control panel: Program call, editing, and saving, offset settings (geometric and tool offsets)
- Determining cutting parameters (F, S, M codes)
- Competence in zeroing, reference rotation, and work coordinate adjustment
- Competence with the ISO G-code standard
- Knowledge of technical drawing reading and dimensioning
- Ability to effectively use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, and dial indicators
- Knowledge of cutting tool types (carbide, HSS, interchangeable tools) and suitable cutting conditions
- Experience in part clamping techniques and the correct use of vices and clamping devices
- Careful, disciplined, detail-oriented, able to adapt to a targeted and timed work schedule, and suitable for shift work
