Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the development of the planning and fulfillment-related processes, skills, and tools. Each day, you will support performance improvement, including customer on-time delivery and lead time. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring adherence to inventory targets and supply plan optimization. This role is contributing to the EL Smart Building business in Xiamen China.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Supports the site supply planning process
  • Responsible for site inventory and driving inventory optimization projects within the site
  • Maintains the right inventory levels, optimizing them according to the company's targets while ensuring high customer service level
  • Supports and maintains inventory management processes for finished/semi-finished goods and/or raw materials in line with company guidelines
  • Performs standard and ad hoc detailed analyses of planning and fulfillment metrics, including Days Inventory on Hand (DIH), on-time delivery, lead time, forecast accuracy, and resource utilization
  • Identifies key root causes for non-performance and drives improvement initiatives across business(es)
  • Establishes and shares best practices for operations planning, inventory management, and resource management
  • Supports local operations planners, master schedule planners, and material planners in implementing new processes and/or tools for material planning
  • Supports the local implementation of planning technology solutions
  • Compiles and shares weekly/monthly reports with business leaders on planning and fulfillment and inventory performance

Qualifications for the Role

  • 5-8 years of planning experience; fluent oral English
  • Familiar with SAP system and other Windows software
  • Demonstrates ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly
  • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies
  • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks
