Your Role: Own the Challenge

In this role, you will contribute to improving occupational health and hygiene performance within your assigned area of responsibility by providing medical expertise and guidance. Every day, you will support the business by applying in-depth knowledge and offering solutions that foster a high‑performance culture with a strong focus on occupational health and hygiene. You will also demonstrate your expertise by ensuring effective risk management throughout the ABB value chain.

The work model for the role is: On site

This role is contributing to the HSE ELSB NEMA Nogales site in Nogales, Sonora, Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigating and reporting occupational health incidents to management and relevant stakeholders, and taking appropriate corrective actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance during incident investigations to identify better ways to mitigate risks.
• Providing feedback to management and employees on lessons learned and best practices from your unit and across ABB.
• Reporting progress on the implementation of group-level occupational health and hygiene objectives and Key Performance Indicators, as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine completed.
• 3+ years of experience as a Medical Doctor.
• Strong medical case management and follow‑up skills.
• Discipline in maintaining employee records and all regulatory medical documentation.
• Very good communication skills.
• General knowledge of manufacturing process safety.
• General understanding of legal compliance requirements.
• General financial/administrative knowledge.
• Tactful, discreet, and able to handle confidential information.
• Intermediate English is a plus.
