We are looking for a new position for Trade Compliance/Logistics Support at the European Operations Center in Ostrava. We are looking for a candidate for a combined position: you will work 50% as a logistician and 50% as a trade compliance support. The position combines targeted responsibility for assigned projects. We are looking for an analytically minded candidate who is not afraid of working with data, has an awareness of logistics processes and can propose more effective solutions based on analysis. Responsibilities for this position:

In the area of trade compliance, you will:

• Provide support regarding the classification of goods, in good time before export from the Czech Republic or import to the Czech Republic, but also in cases where goods need to be quickly declared to customs authorities and/or are subject to customs control.

• Perform ECN/ECCN and HTS classification review with LD Trade team, update master data in SAP GTS with ECN/ECCN and HTS classification as needed.

• Perform regular analysis of goods to be delivered in the coming months, identification and classification of products, software and/or technologies, especially in case of critical regulatory developments in collaboration with LD Trade team.

As a logistician you will:

• Coordinate, plan and implement logistics:

o A) exports from the Czech Republic to non-EU countries (e.g. to CN, US) and

o B) imports from non-EU countries to the Czech Republic on assigned projects

• Cooperate with already selected transport companies and obtain price quotes

• Ensure the sending of the shipment plan according to the defined timely plan and schedule

• You will be an intermediary between the customer, transport company and supplier

• Prepare transport documentation (packing lists, proforma invoices, ATR)

• Control and supervision and fulfillment of transport, packaging and marking procedures according to project requirements in accordance with logistics regulations and standards, generation of transport documents, transport monitoring

• Import / Export - preparation and control of documentation, work with HS codes, certificates of origin of goods, etc.

• Archiving documents related to transport and customer delivery

Who are we looking for:

• You have a university degree (suitable fields: logistics, foreign trade and similar)

• You speak English and Czech/Slovak at a communication level (e-mail and oral communication)

• You have knowledge of export control (EU, USA) and customs rules and regulations

• You have a sense of detail, you are meticulous and you enjoy working in an international team

• You have experience with MS Office Excel

• You do not mind working in a virtual team

• You have a business mindset, the ability to respond, you are proactive and self-sufficient
